Based in Douglas County, Minnesota, we exist as a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing in the community and to make simple, decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Each gift helps a family in need of decent shelter. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and will be acknowledged with a letter you may use for those purposes. We take seriously our responsibility to contributors, to those counting on our help to be wise stewards of funds entrusted to us.

Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity is a great way to learn new skills and give back to the community. If you would like to help, please fill out our Volunteer Registration Form (PDF) along with a release waiver and submit it via fax or mail. Thousands of women across the country join together May 5 – 13 to build homes with local families

Women volunteers will raise their hammers at Habitat for Humanity construction sites across the country in recognition of National Women Build Week, May 5-13. The event is a nationwide initiative of Habitat’s Women Build program developed in partnership with Lowe’s.

Homebuilders Club

Join our Homebuilder’s Club with an annual gift of $250 or more. Members of the homebuilders club will be invited to attend our donor reception held in the fall.

Cars for Homes

Car donations are another way to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County. When you donate a car to Cars for Homes, you will help us build and rehabilitate houses with families in need of affordable shelter.

The car donation process is quick and easy.
