Thousands of women across the country join together May 5 – 13 to build homes with local families

Women volunteers will raise their hammers at Habitat for Humanity construction sites across the country in recognition of National Women Build Week, May 5-13. The event is a nationwide initiative of Habitat’s Women Build program developed in partnership with Lowe’s.

Groups

Participating in a Habitat build is a great team-building activity. To get your group involved, email our Volunteer Coordinator with the following information:

  • The Name of your organization
  • The size of your group

  • Your top choice for a volunteer date, with two alternates
 
  • Name, address, telephone number and email address of your group leader

  • The best time(s) to reach the group leader by telephone
  • You will be contacted within five (5) business days about available dates.

Construction Leaders

Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County has been blessed in the past with many dedicated, skilled crew leaders. As we grow to serve more families, we are looking for additional people to help fill this role. If you have previous construction experience and are patient and good with people, you may be perfect as a volunteer crew leader. Interested individuals should contact Julie Klopp , Volunteer Coordinator at 320-762-4255.
