What is a Women Build?
Women Build is a national initiative to engage women in the effort to provide safe and decent homes for families in need of affordable housing.
Why is it important?
Women Build volunteers help address the affordable housing crisis head-on by building together and investing in our local community. Ultimately, Women Build teams help local families achieve their goal of homeownership. Whether learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved and builds a stronger community. The work is vital, the impact is lasting.
Who can build?
All are welcome and no experience is necessary. All volunteers will receive on-site training from Habitat’s construction team. Volunteers must be age 16 or older to volunteer on the build site.
Women Build Team Leaders
Women Build Team Leaders gather friends, colleagues, and family to build together.
- Recruit a team of 8-15 participants and together raise $1,500
- Create a fun team name and select a build date for the team
- Serve as a connector between your team and Habitat
