Tithing allows affiliates an opportunity to share their resources with developing countries throughout the world, and to have both a global and a local home-building program.
Since 1997, Habitat Douglas County has supported the construction of 112 international homes through tithing. The average cost of an international housing solution is $4,500.

At the Habitat for Humanity National Conference in March 2024, our affiliate received the Malachi 3:10 Award for surpassing $500,000 in lifetime tithe. Pictured with the Habitat team are Jean Frenel Tham (Habitat Haiti), and Ashraf Eid (Habitat Egypt).
International Build Trips
Habitat for Humanity International will soon re-open Global Village volunteer builds. More information will be added as details become available.
In addition to tithing, Habitat volunteers from Douglas County have participated in at least seven Global Village trips to help build Habitat homes in Cambodia, Vietnam, Mexico, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
